Fergie, Plainfield, IL:
Gorgeous-- I've attached a few from my kitchen to give you some idea of the effect-- but photos don't really do justice to it. The sheets have a great mix of black, frosted and tan/gold, mixed with stone. The mix is about 75% glass, 25% stone. The black and tan/gold tiles tie in nicely with my counter, the frosted opaque tiles keep it light, and the stone looks great with my appliances. My kitchen has medium oak cabinetry and floors, black granite counter (with large swirls of caramel and ivory quartz), and stainless appliances. I shopped the entire Chicago area, and did not find anything like this-- it's very unique-- and the price is great. I did my entire backspash (approx. 45 sq ft) for about 25% of what I would have paid for the next best competing alternative from a local vendor. Cool Tiles, indeed! :) ( click image(s) to zoom)
Maude, Powell, WY:
I was really excited when I saw this tile on the web site, but wanted to see what they'd look like with the lighting in my kitchen before I made the purchase. So I bought one 12x12 (aprox) sheet as a sample. Boy am I really glad I did. The quality of the tile is excellent and the price is good... but when I got them in my kitchen, I decided it wasn't the right fit. The translucent tiles actually looked very blue-green in my lighting (rather than whiteish, like they appear in the photo). The blue-green would not have fit the color-scheme of my kitchen, so I ended up not making the purchase. As I mentioned, the quality and price were excellent, but do be aware when looking at glass tiles, that they may end up looking very different than you think they will, so be careful in your selection and don't hesitate to try samples beforehand so you know you're getting exactly what you want.
